Effortlessly chic on the road with Leota travel dresses and scarf

| November 11, 2016 More

As a city traveler, I often go to evening performances and elegant dinners. My daytime sightseeing clothes get a break, while I slip into something more suitable for events.

There are two items you will always find in my suitcase: a dress and a scarf. Both are carry-on friendly and let you to look stylish without much effort. If they are designed for travel, that is.

Not all fashion is created equal. I have pieces that I only wear at home – those that are bulky, wrinkle when folded, or need to be ironed after each wash. But travel dresses from Leota New York are in a different category.

TRAVEL DRESSES

I discovered the brand last summer and got smitten with the bold designs, painted in-house. It took me by surprise, because I hardly wore prints before.

My closet was full of monochrome pieces in black, navy, occasionally red. But ever since moving to Paris, I began to experiment with fashion. Leota’s art-inspired collection was the starting point.

The prints are not the only thing I like about Leota. Whether I’m on the go in Paris or traveling, I want clothing that offers quality and comfort. Thanks to a polyester-spandex blend, Leota’s travel dresses are soft to the touch, wrinkle-free, and machine-washable. Many have a loose fit, which makes them flattering on different body types.

FALL COLLECTION

Leota releases new pieces every month. Here are two of my favorite versatile dresses from the fall line, plus one travel-friendly scarf.

Scarlett Dress in Smoldering

It’s all in the name – this wrap dress with a peplum flair will make you look sexy and chic. If you travel with a special someone, wear it on a dinner date. It will also work at a gallery opening, theater outing, jazz club, or elegant after-hours event. I like it with nude pumps.

Kate Dress in French Braid

This one is a more casual, day-to-night dress. I like how the short skirt is balanced by long, loose sleeves. Wear it with flat ankle boots for sightseeing, sitting in cafés, or lunchtime meetings if you’re traveling on business. Or pair it with heels for a night out on the town.

Scarf in Pansy

Soft, warm, and oversized, this viscose scarf will keep you cozy on the plane or during chilly autumn nights. Wrap it around your shoulders for visiting temples, or use it as a picnic blanket. It goes well with jeans or black pants and adds color to neutral outfits.

Thank you Leota for making me look stylish this fall. All opinions in the post are mine.

I’m not the type of person who likes to go out much while traveling but I still think the dress on the first picture looks lovely ;)

  2. It’s so hard to find cute dressy stuff that packs well. I usually use default to black because it hides the wrinkles better.

  3. Love the Pansy scarf! One of my go to’s while traveling are scarves as well! They keep you warm on the plane and brighten up any outfit! Great photos!
