ickle_bocklesWin travel size toiletries and accessories from UK-based Ickle Bockles

I like to pack light, but it’s not always easy to find quality skin care products and accessories that can fit in a carry-on.

Recently, I was introduced to Ickle Bockles, a young British company producing travel size toiletries (shampoos, conditioners, shower gels, lip balms) and other essentials (bottles, toothbrush/toothpaste sets, eye masks). The products looked promising and I was intrigued to try a few.

Here’s what I like about the hair care line and body washes:

  • They come in security line-friendly, 100 ml bottles
  • They look and smell great, but are gentle – no artificial colors, preservatives, Parabens or SLS
  • Fully biodegradable, not tested on animals, and made in the UK.

To start the New (Travel) Year off right on Jetting Around, I have teamed up with Ickle Bockes for a giveaway.

You can win one of two sets:

  • Prize 1containers, lavender & geranium shampoo and conditioner, lip balm, travel toothpaste set, hand sanitizing spray
  • Prize 2: chocolate shower gel & foam bath, tea tree shampoo and conditioner, gel eye mask, travel toothbrush and paste, compact mirror
You can win travel size toiletries and accessories from UK-based Ickle Bockles company

  1. My favorite travel accessory is my iPhone. I can use it to stay in touch or for information if needed. Also it makes a great camera! I love your blog and can’t wait to see what is coming up next!

  2. avatar Aggy says:

My fav item to bring during travel is definitely my scarves. They are so useful no matter what the weather is like, I always bring a nice collection of them. Oh and I also carry my lipbalm!:D

  3. avatar CrystalIntl says:

It’s hard to pick just one! A camera is my #1. A pen – can’t leave home without one. Headphones – makes the flights so much better. A pair of heels – you never know when you’ll need them!

  4. avatar Karla says:

I always travel with a my camera!

Even my companions ask me constantly not to forget it. Yes I’m the photographer in the family ;)

Capturing special moments, places and people is simply priceless!

    K :)

  5. avatar Flora says:

Of course, it is the iPhone – loaded with language and map apps. Next would be a great bag lightweight, roomy, shoulder bag that I can carry all day. I augment it with a folded shopping bag since overseas vendors rarely have decent shopping bags to carry back to the hotel.

    • Hi, Flora. :) A great bag that you can carry all day is SO important! I have a camera bag that looks like a purse and I don’t travel without it. It fits so much and somehow doesn’t weight a ton!

  6. avatar Steph says:

My favourite accessory would be my camera of course! I bought it about a year and a half ago and I can safely say there hasn’t been a month yet when I haven’t used it. It was my best investment ever, and people always compliment my photos. I would really love to get into photography more this year.

However, even if my camera is my favourite accessory, I really can’t travel anywhere without suncream (at least SPF 50) because I’m so pale and my skin burns so easily. So I think I should win the toiletries because although I’ve accepted that I’ll never get a beautiful tan, but I can still have great hair and glowing (pale) skin with these products! ;)

    Steph x

  7. avatar Vanessa says:

I always travel with a brightly colored pashmina scarf and a blue cotton sarong I bought in college.

  8. avatar Laura says:

I cannot be without good facial scrubs preferably St. Ives products. Traveling around usually you’re on planes, buses, trains, walking and it could be very long. Or you may be without a shower for a few days. I hate not having a clean face. So give me water and or a sink and I’m good to go! ha ha.

  9. avatar Jenna says:

I agree with all the above-mentioned items, but one of my favorites is fun jewelry. It adds extra pop to any outfit and makes me feel like I look a little extra special when on the road. :) (and I am already subscribed to your email updates)

  10. avatar Marty Groark says:

I can’t choose just one, but ii’ll try. Probably of course my camera. I’m naturally some times a little “natural” so even most hygeine products might actually be optional… :D

  11. avatar Kristin says:

Well, I have to be boring and say my camera. Not that I’m a photographer or anything special, but I can’t imagine not capturing moments and places in which I can then look back and remember the specific thoughts and feelings I was having at the time the photo was taken.
A funny accessory I have taken before, and discovered it’s multi purposes , is a travel-sized hair dyer. When I was backpacking in Europe, we used my little hairdryer for so many things…. to include warming up hot dogs, using it as a clothes dryer after downpours, using it as a heater on some of those oh so cold days in the mountains… to name a few. It was rarely used as a hairdryer and I think the boys with whom I was traveling used it more than I did myself. Oh the days!!!!!!!

  12. avatar Emily says:

One of my favorite accessories to bring with, hands down, is my monosling teardrop backpack by Victorinox. It’s small, but has tons of pockets so I carry everything I need for a day of sightseeing, walking around, or even climbing and hiking. It’s also made of water resistant material, so it keeps my camera, maps, and other ‘vulnerable’ items safe and dry when it’s raining.

Besides the backpack, my other favorite accessory would have to be my camera. For me, half of the fun of going on a trpi is being able to document all the great and interesting places I went to, things I saw, etc. and then share those photos and videos with friends and family.

    • I love this comment, Emily! Having a great bag that is comfortable, but fits everything you need, is essential and not always easy to find. And I couldn’t agree more about documenting your trips. It’s so much fun to go through your photos months after you came back home… :)

  13. avatar Francesca says:

My favorite thing to bring on the road…. well, if we’re talking toiletry items, I cannot go anywhere without my bottle of Moroccan Oil! It keeps my hair all soft and shiny. Other than that, I never leave home without my smartphone (iPhone now), the St. Christopher medal my mom gave me, and my DSLR.

Hmm my favourite accessory on the road…I love a good book – something to make you laugh! Especially helpful if you are faced with delays so you can keep that happy holiday feeling :-) Lately I love London columnist Caitlin Moran – cutting, feminist, honest humour! When I can steel it back off my husband that is ;-)

  15. avatar Anita says:

My favourite item on the road? My PASSPORT :-) No travel without my dear passport! And if we’re talking only about toiletry item: I would say my Clinique Lip Balm, best lip balm ever!

Thank you for offering such a lovely and generous giveaway. My iPhone is my most prized travel companion. Without it I would miss out on so many fun stops, thrift stores and greasy spoons.

  17. I never go anywhere without my chocolate shower gel.

I can’t live without lip balm. That’s it! Oh, and sunglasses. Yeah, that’s it! (:

  20. avatar Ellen says:

My travel accessory number 1 would probably be my DSLR, I know it’s big and chunky and almost like carrying a second handbag but it has to come with me wherever possible.
Another useful one is a guide book with a pull-out map of the destination, unfortunately free WiFi is not available in all countries to access Google maps so having an oldfashioned map can be handy (doesn’t mean I don’t get lost though ;) )

  21. avatar Kirsten Murphy says:

I toured Europe for a month last summer by motorbike and by far my most treasured accessory was my iphone. I used it as an ipod, a camera, a map, a kindle, a travel guide for restaurants & places to stay, oh and of course, a means of keeping in touch with my sons!

  22. avatar Karissa says:

My sense of adventure is my favorite travel accessory! ;) It reliably will never run out or get lost, always gets me into the most interesting situations and makes every trip more enjoyable.

  23. avatar Sofie says:

It’s not as useful and versatile as an iPhone or a scarf, but I just can’t leave the house without a lip balm. I’m addicted. There it is. I’ve recognized it. I own several lip balms, just to make sure I never run without. I was a big labello fan at one time, but now I’ve opened up to other brands. I’m telling you, there’s a whole world of lip balms out there!

  24. avatar Miret says:

Rhetorical question, right? iPhone is the only possible answer! ;-D

  27. Better late than never! :) I always need to travel with a scarf – one big enough to be used as an extra blanket on the plane, and vaseline. Seriously, in Africa, that saved me in a million ways!
